Product Review: DogPause bowl!

The nice folks at DogPause sent us a couple of their new DogPause Bowls the other day for us to test out!

These bowls are specifically designed to slow down a dog's eating to prevent common problems that can occur with eating to fast and not taking the time to chew - things like gas, vomiting, gagging, and bloat. Gracie is a very vigorous eater, so it was good to use the bowl to help slow her down.

Mum really liked that they were very cool looking bowls, all with nice rounded edges that wouldn't harm us. And she liked that they are way easy to clean.

You'll see in the vid that both of us had a little fun eating from the bowl, exploring each of the four sections frequently, until all was devoured.

Mum thinks it slowed down the time it took both of us to eat, she liked that, especially since Gracie is getting over a virus and has a sensitive tummy. But the bowl would be great to slow her down all the time.

We all really liked the bowls. There is only one thing that Mum would like to suggest to the folks at DogPause - we'd love a version in stainless steel. Stainless steel or porcelain are so much more safer and healthier for us pups! We sure hope they take our suggestion!

And thanks DogPause, we had fun trying out our new bowls. And we love the fact that you contribute and support a couple of pup rescues in your area. Mum's going to keep the bowls for our agility trial travels, since Gracie gets even more exuberant with her food when we travel! And she's going to try it out with my kittie bro, Wolfie, he is a very enthusiastic eater and sometimes throws up his food after he eats, silly kitty!

  1. That sure is a very clever bowl. Oh I think this is the first time I see Gracie, she's so pretty. :)

  2. I agree that they would be great in stainless steel or porcelain. I like the fact that they slow the dogs down, but I also think it might make mealtimes a little more interesting. I did wonder whether short-muzzled dogs would be able to get their noses into the small spaces.
