Approaching a dog safely!

I'm not the easiest pup to meet sometimes, especially with children. One day, when I was very young and on our daily walk, a few children came up to me and circled me. I knew these children and saw them nearly every day. But this day they all started quickly bending over me and putting their face in my face, all at once. I felt like they were ganging up on me. Mum tried quickly to get me out of the situation. But it all happened so fast and the damage was done.

Ever since then, I have been tentative around children. Some kids are OK, especially the ones that know how to approach me - what Mum calls 'dog savvy.' But others just don't know that every dog should be approached with caution, and only by request. So we wanted to share this great video to help spread the word with little ones and adults alike. Pass the info on, K?
