Hearing dogs needed in the UK!

National charity, Hearing Dogs For Deaf People in the UK, is appealing to the public for help finding puppies and young adult dogs suitable for training as assistants for deaf people.

Jenny Moir, Hearing Dogs head of PR, said: "Due to the increased demand from applicants for working hearing dogs, we are currently experiencing a shortage of suitable puppies and young dogs to train. Donors of dogs to the charity are kept informed of their progress through the training scheme, and the fact that these dogs will one day make such a difference to someone's life in terms of security, confidence and independence is a huge incentive."

If you have a puppy or young adult dog up to three years of age that you think might have a suitable temperament to be a hearing dog, please call Hearing Dogs on 01844 348129, or visit their website for more information.
