Blooms everywhere!

It's a great time of year in our backyard garden, lots of plants are blooming. We wanted to share some of them with you!

This is Mum's favorite shrub, a white bridal wreath spirea...

Here I am running near the purple phlox, and another one of Mum's favorites on the left, the Candytuft...

And this is our clematis, it's the first year it's bloomed and Mum paid attention this year to train it up the fence. It should look great come summer...

Mum and her other dog friends love gardening. Which makes me wonder...do dogs and gardening go together?

  4. It's true, we have been known to garden. :-) Ours isn't as pretty as yours, but there's plenty of veg and soft fruit for the hungry hound ...

  5. Beautiful blooms in your yard Johann, adn you look pretty good yourself standing among them. Yes, our mom thinks gardening and pups go together, although she's found the plants need to be sturdy enough to hold up under our "hooves" - we sometimes get excited when we see a squirrel and trample the flowers a bit. Rosie especially loves to lounge in the thyme - she says it makes a really soft and fragrant outside bed. Happy Memorial Day weekend Johann and family!

  6. When our dog Nickie was alive, he loved checking out the garden. He would make his rounds in and around all the shrubs to make sure everything was okay. Then, he'd plop down in his favorite spot and nap. So, some dogs and gardens do go well together!
