It may have been nice weather yesterday, but a cold front moved in last night. We got a little sleet, and some snow is predicted with some chilly temps tonight and tomorrow. But it's supposed to warm up again by the end of the week. I secretly wish we do get some snow!! I'd hate to miss out on all of that white stuff!
So we enjoyed the weather and took in a nice hike up the ridge yesterday. Now that all the leaves have fallen, it's really difficult to see where the trail is. Can you see the trail?
How about here? Do you see the trail here?
Luckily Mum, Gracie and I are pretty familiar with the main route up the ridge, and we have a few markers that we pay attention to; we haven't gotten lost yet, BOL!

After a big rain and a little snow a few weeks back the stream down the mountain started being active again. We hadn't seen water in this stream since last April! It was good to see the stream running again, some of the rocks looks just like glass mosaic tiles, so beautiful!
So I got in a little wading...
And a little more wading...
Believe it or not the water was pretty mild, not really cold at all! This is the only stream that Mum will let us get into, since it's the main run off for snow and rain from the mountain and there's not much up there, but good old virgin woods.

We hear some folks are getting a lot of snow, wind and cold! Stay safe out there, K? After Tuesday the days start getting longer, we can't wait!
It's been a long time since we visited your blog, Johann! We have rain today so our frozen pond is thawing out and the duckies will like the extra room to swim!

We enjoyed going along on your hike. It's been awhile since we visited but we are GLAD we came today. Looks like a place we would enjoy going.
