Well this gastroenteritis stuff is lousy! I feel horrible. All I've done today is watch my Mum work, lay around, and sleep. I don't want to go anywhere, do anything, or even tease the cats.
As per Aunt Bonnie's (our vet) instructions, I've only had a couple of teaspoons of chicken broth every two hours for about 12 hours now. And that will last until in the morning. Then Mum's cooking me up a wee bit of brown rice and cottage cheese which will be my first meal (if you want to call it that) tomorrow morning and every three hours after. And that will go on for five days.
Had more "Big D" a little while ago. I felt a little better after that, but then I just wanted to sleep again.
Mum called the vet to ask more questions. The weekend is coming up and she wanted to know what to watch out for that would be an emergency. She likes to be prepared when it comes to my health.
Pretty sure we won't be going to the trial this weekend. Pretty sad 'cause Mum and I really wanted to go. No refunds, so we lost about $65.00. That's too bad, too. I'm signed up for a three day trial the following weekend. So I gots to get better before then!!!!
Thanks for all your well wishes. We appreciate it. I'm off to take another nap now......
tried to email you at the address on your website recently - but no go (it got bounced back). I wanted to tell you about the blogathon....I am planning to participate - check out my latest blog posts to see the info!
ReplyDeleteAw Johann, sounds like you're having a rough time. Hope you feel perkier tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my site. Did you see I recently started agility? I think I've had 4 lessons now (5th one tomorrow). I'm loving it even if I'm not great at all yet. Sounds like you're a total agility star!

I hope you're all better soon, Johann! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better. Skipping trials is no fun at all. Usually if I sign up for a USDAA trial, I'm guaranteed to get sick (me not the dogs lol). It's uncanny how that happens.
