When it's really hot out like today at 100 degrees, we get pretty wacko around the house. So just like we do in the dead of Winter, Mum does short little training sessions with us, until what she calls 'fries our brains'.
We love it and have a lot of fun. And it kind of wears us out a little and keeps us occupied during the day.
So we thought we'd share a couple of sessions with ya! Enjoy and let us know what ya think!
Hi guys, I really DO hope some cooler weather is coming your way or you may just have to switch your performance interests from agility to dock diving.
It's good to hear Gracie is keeping her focus longer at trials, it really is so hard to train a dog who is much faster at trials than at practice. I know because Malcolm is the same way. I try to do all the stuff usually advised for such a situation (take him to practice matches, practice sessions at different locations, rev him up as much as I can) and I can see progress, but we've still got lots and lots to work on. But then again, there's always lots of holes to patch up in agility training and the process of patching up is FUN!
Hi Johann, You're always signing my blog - thank you so much! This is my first visit to yours and I see Gracie is doing stairs! I gotta tell Mitch to come watch! I'll be back!
Hi Johann... It is really really hot here at the beach too... so hot I can't walk on the sand without burning my feet... so I've been just laying around under the ceiling fan in the Air Conditioning.

ReplyDeleteBut later I'm gonna go swimin
You 2 whippersnappers are pretty talented and have lots of energy! Hope it cools down for you soon!
ReplyDeleteOh I love you both! What nice targets and tables. And I love the 'cold' trick Johann! :) He he. You have a nice clean house too, I am impressed.
ReplyDeleteWonderful videos!! Gotta get me a foot stool to practice "table"!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteI just realized when viewing these vids that Gracie understands 'touch it' (touch it) for the target but not 'target' (go to it) at all.
And I understand both 'target' (go to it) and 'touch it' (touch it).
Very interesting....will be important for Gracie's contact training.
We sure love our training, but we are missing getting our zoomies outside - it's still in the 90's.
Thats awsome, Ive been working with my lab mix these last few weeks. Training is fun, thanks for the videos..
ReplyDeleteWow. Aren't you good.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure all that hard work would be good for me.
Pippa
Awww, I loved the videos! You guys are just precious!
