Dog blood donors save lives!

Have you ever wondered how all those pups that need lifesaving procedures get the blood they need during surgery? We wondered about that, so we did a new Squidoo lens on dog blood donors, those saved by blood donation, and how the whole process works to get those pups the blood they need.

Check it out and see how you may be able to donate blood at your local blood bank or blood drive.

  2. Very cool! I have wondered about that. Our vet said that they have some sighthounds that donate a lot. That is nice of them!

  3. Great idea for a lens, Johann! I had never really thought about this much until Cruella had her first surgery back in March. The vet mentioned that she was bringing in one of her dogs to serve as a blood donor just in case it was necessary.

Kudos to you for the awesome job you do for dogs and their owners!
