Mailing lists!

Now that I've been getting more and more mail, well, and I guess it was inevitable, now I've started getting junk mail. What is junk mail? I supposed it's best defined as mail that I didn't ask for and don't want.

Mum and I look over our mail everyday. There's some mail we asked for, some we didn't, and some from those we didn't know about but we do have an interest in what they have to offer in the way of products and services.

Guess I got myself on some list from lists brokers and now I get mail specifically for my demographic. Luckily my demographic, I would suspect, is for a dog lover, someone who is interested in all things dog. Yep, that would be me! There are many companies out there that specialize in putting together and finding these types of lists for companies. Mum has used them in her marketing work.

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of junk mail, but on the other hand when they notify me of something that fits just right with my demographic - dog, dog lover - I don't mind getting their mail. Sometimes we find out about some really cool new stuff!
