Mum was walking around the yard and almost stepped on all the daffodils that are popping up!
She tries to cover them with a little dirt to keep them happy till it's really time to show their stuff, but the rains erode all the dirt away; so then she puts it back and the cycle starts all over, BOL!
We love the daffodils that we inherited here at the cabin. They are everywhere in little bunches. But the best part is they are heirloom daffodils, and they multiply and multiply if taken care of properly. Not like those new daffodils you purchase and have to replant every year. Oh the good ole days...
Check out this big bunch on the sunny side of our cabin! I think they are double what we saw last year. Can't wait for the blooming to begin!
We hope everyone has a very Happy New Year, and that this little slice of spring brings you hope for wonderful, warmer days ahead!
How exciting for you! We're expecting superbrutalcold temps for the next few days so no signs of spring are happening at our house.
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

Wow! You have daffodils and we have 10 inches of snow and counting for the new year. Mommy thinks she likes your new year better.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's very cool. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteThere's an Australian song that has the lines: When The daffodils dance in the sun and the rain
ReplyDeleteThen we know that the spring time is coming again...
So here they always come up in winter, just to let us know spring is around the corner.
I love daffodils!
And I despise the seed companies that sell us non-heirloom plants and try to control our food and flowers.
