Rescued near death from the streets of East Dallas last month and saved by blood donated by another stray, Princess the boxer mix is making a remarkable recovery, thanks to another stray, Prince!Ahhh....a happy ending. You go, you two!!!! And thanks Operation Kindness. And for more information about dog blood donation, visit our Squidoo lens!
Considering she was a day or so from death when a good Samaritan found her in a church parking lot and carried her to Operation Kindness, Princess has come a long way in a very short time. Anemic and beset with parasites, Princess was so sick when Margaret Durham found her that she couldn't eat. At 22 pounds, she was about half of her normal weight.
Once Princess heals from that surgery, Ms. England said, she'll probably be put up for adoption, just like Prince. A big, easygoing shepherd mix, Prince is almost a year old with a friendly, playful nature.
